Apology

1 Peter 3:15 ...be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear

The idea of this section is to give an overview of some of the errors today, in the hopes of keeping you from falling into them. There will be other sites that go more in detail in dealing with the errors addressed, so in most cases I will just point you there. Before you check out the links I would like to share a few tidbits with you though.

My favorite $20.00 bill analogy:
If someone comes to you with a counterfeit bill and a genuine bill, how will you determine the counterfeit? It is quite simple really, having handled so many of the genuine ones, you should simply look for the differences. Keep in mind, the most deceptive counterfeit is the one with the least recognizable differences. It is the same with apologetics, when one is thoroughly familiar with the word of God, and someone comes along with an irreconcilable difference, it should be recognized and tossed out as a counterfeit. When people want you to look at the similarities in hopes of unity, it is only because they are trying to hide the differences. Beware of such! The desire of the Christian is to be united with all the genuine, and divided from all the counterfeits.

Most issues of apologetics can be easily divided by this one simple question.

Do you presently have EVERLASTING life?

A false religion will say something like this:
1) No.
2) I hope to have it.
3) I am working on it.
4) No man can know this.
5) Or Romanism's-I am saved, I am being saved, and I shall be saved.
6) Anything but a substantive yes.
None of them actually HAVE everlasting life.

Christ says this in John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me HATH EVERLASTING LIFE.
