Biblical Salvation

We recognize that we are sinners:

Romans 3:10, 23 …There is none righteous, no, not one:.. all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
1 John 1:10...If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

We understand we deserve two deaths for our sin, death of the body and death (eternal torment) of the soul:

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die…
Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Revelation 20:14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:8 …the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

We realize we can’t save ourselves:

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Galatians 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

Jesus paid the only ransom that would deliver our souls from eternal damnation, and is the only way of salvation:

John 3:16,18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ….but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

God required the blood of his only begotten Son to make atonement for us:

Romans 5:8-9 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, God the Son-Fully God and Fully Man:

John 1:1,14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. … And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us
Romans 1:3-4 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, trusting Him alone for your salvation

Matthew 1:21 …thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out…
Acts 16:31 …Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…
Hebrews 9:12 …by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
John 3:3 …Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God...
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast
.

Once saved the regenerate receives an ever growing measure of power over sin, that God alone may be glorified in the sanctified life of a member of the Bride of Christ:

1 Corinthians 6:20 …ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus… If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Romans 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Romans 8:9-11 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
